New York, New York... (see blue box below)

... after filming a scene for "Bird Brothers," Luke came into the preschool class (awesome little actors) to answer questions and
for some hands-on time with a baby duck -- great fun!
THANK YOU Diane and class!

Luke had an awesome day volunteering with Heartland as they welcomed the Premiere of "Flipped" to Indianapolis. Rob Reiner and cast were on hand for the Premiere at the Hilbert Theatre that evening. What a FUN movie!!!

In a packed theatre, Luke eagerly walked up to the mic to ask
Mr. Reiner a question during the Q&A. (Luke's @ mic far right)
Luke later slipped him a business card ...what a hoot!

As always,
Heartland put on a seamless event that was buzzing the whole time. "Flipped" is released later this month and Heartland is gearing up for the Film Festival in October. If you haven't been to Heartland's Film Festival, plan to go... we had a blast last year!

Take Flight! ...
Luke got the incredible experience of filming "Squire," a Lanner Falcon, native to Africa. Mark Booth of "Take Flight!" was more than generous in hosting us and sharing a wealth of information about this regal raptor. And to see over 50 Homing Pigeons flying overhead in pattern was quite a sight as well -- lovely. Check out Mark's website: www.takeflight.org.

Men at work : Tim and Luke have seen success with their new "power-washing" biz. They started it to raise money for Luke's many film projects and possible film festival travel. It's been a great life lesson on the workings of a small business.

"getting our ducks in a row"...
takes on a totally new meaning these days. Luke is well underway on filming his newest project and some of our actors are quite comical ...and they almost seem to know their cues! We have a total of 10 ducklings so that we have ample "stand-ins."

And as "Senior Duck Handler," I want to express my personal thanks to eFowl.com for their excellent information and their cute ducklings. What an incredibly fun adventure.
